At Free Game we are committed to keeping our youth free from the juvenile justice system and in aims of doing so, we have created several programs to engage our young scholars’ minds to keep them off the streets. Free Game development programs equip today’s youth to combat the challenges of adulthood and achieve their full potential. 

 

Fulfillment is a 6-week course that migrates throughout neighborhoods in the greater Houston area. The program targets male youth ages 13 to 18. Free game and its affiliates will meet once a week. During our program we will focus on enhancing our participants social and lifestyle skills, improving academic achievement, mental health, hygiene, domestic abuse, college, trade school and many others. Knowing that many of our participants come from lower income households, we make it a priority to provide a healthy-well balanced meal after every session. Upon completion of Fulfillment, we will have a ceremony awarding each participant a certificate as well as partaking in a trip or activity. 

 

Mail 2 Male is a program that reinforces our main motto, “We made the mistakes, so you won’t have to” and we live that through this platform. What’s unique about this program is that our young men have the opportunity to not only have one male mentor, but two! We connect them with a positive male role model that provides hands-on activities with them and another male pen pal that’s incarcerated. The objective is to provide our youth with valuable insight on what not to do in efforts to help maintain their freedom and steer them clear of trouble. 

 

Lastly, we have “Tap in”. Tap in is a program that assists our older youth with understanding their options post high school. We go on college tours, meet with trade school owners and explore other opportunities that may better suit our youth as they transition into adulthood.
